What kind of 'identity' is mobilized when the work of a philosopher becomes a major reference for certain schools of thought, as in the case of Gilles Deleuze and postcolonial theory? Have the promoters of a generalized Deleuzeanism taken care their usage of his specialized work does him justice?

Few exponents of postcolonial and subaltern theories now dispute the influence that Deleuze's work exerted on the intellectuals and theorists who developed those theories.

However, this book contends that postcolonial and subaltern theorists have engaged with Deleuzean thought in ways that have perhaps produced a long series of misunderstandings — for which Deleuze himself is not responsible.

Postcolonial Haecceities: On Deleuze's Names 2. At once rigorous and open-minded, and attuned to debates in philosophy, film theory, literature, art, and geopolitics, this book is a tribute to Deleuzean discourse at its best. The aim of this article is to identify Benedict de Spinoza , in the context of the XVII century, to the practice of a certain type of minor education. It is shown that Spinoza, in his practice as a teacher, kept a non-institutionalized, deterritorialized and rhizomatic way of educating, as it is defined in the concept of minor education. Gilles Deleuze, contemporary reader of the modern Dutch philosopher Benedictus de Spinoza, when writing his book on Kafka with Felix Guattari, developed the minor literature concept. By involving this concept in the field of philosophic studies, Silvio Gallo created the notion of minor education , bearing in mind to contribute to the Deleuze becoming in the educational field. We might as well say that minor no longer designates specific literatures but the revolutionary conditions for every literature within the heart of what is called great or established literature. Post a comment. January 26,

For Deleuze and Guattari the "minor" and "becoming-minority" does not refer to minority groups as described in ordinary language. Minority groups are defined by identities and are thus molar configurations belonging to the majoritarian State machine. Molar configurations are composed of infinite lines of particles, i.
