Our PE days this term are Wednesday and Thursday. Children should come to school in PE kit on these days. Because of the current Coronavirus restrictions there are some extra rules at the moment.
Please see the information below provided by Hedingham School with regard to transition. I appreciate this is extremely frustrating for us all and acknowledge that there is no substitute for observing our students in their learning environment. There will also be a School Prospectus which we will distribute to all primary schools. We will endeavour to provide you with exact dates and times once we finalise the arrangements.
Welcome to the last week of this academic year. You have all been working so hard, I am so proud of you all. Just this last week of work to do and then you can have a great summer holiday! You have finished your learning about the Ancient Greeks now so this week's learning includes work from other curriculum areas that you many have missed including science, RE and art.
The all resources document is in full colour, but the individual activity documents have at least some of the colour removed to make them more printer friendly. Have a great week. If you are coming in to school, you will be given time to access these tasks as part of your learning.
There are also some additional year group specific resources you can access through this page. This week the focus is on Myths and Legends. I saw from Portfolio and Tapestry that lots of you had had a go at some optical illusion art last week.
If so, I hope you kept hold of it for this week's challenge! If not, it's not too late. You can still have a go. I'll upload the instructions to all of the class pages on the school website! This week, we are going to add to it. I'd like you to experiment with taking photographs of you pretending to fall.
Once you have one you are happy with, print it out in black and white, cut it out and stick it onto your art work! You can draw your picture instead, or cut something out of a magazine. You could draw a picture of an animal if you prefer.. This week the focus is on Ancient Greek Culture.

Although Hades was a major ancient Greek god and was the brother of the first generation of Olympians Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, Demeter, and Hestia , his realm was the underworld , far from Olympus, and thus was not usually considered to be one of the Olympians. The Olympians were a race of deities , primarily consisting of a third and fourth generation of immortal beings, worshipped as the principal gods of the Greek pantheon and so named because of their residency atop Mount Olympus. They gained their supremacy in a ten-year-long war of gods , in which Zeus led his siblings to victory over the previous generation of ruling gods, the Titans. Although Hades was a major deity in the Greek pantheon , and was the brother of Zeus and the other first generation of Olympians, his realm was far away from Olympus in the underworld , and thus he was not usually considered to be one of the Olympians. The canonical number of Olympian gods was twelve, but besides the thirteen principal Olympians listed above, there were many other residents of Olympus, who thus might be considered to be Olympians.
