The Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost
7:30 a.m. - Rite I service in the church.
As You Are service begins at 9:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Twelve Apostles.
Children's Church: Meet in the Choir Room on the second floor of the Parish Hall between 8:50 and 9:00 a.m. for an age-appropriate lesson on the day's reading, an activity, and music with Jody Hanet. Children will be brought to the church in time for communion.
9:00 a.m. - Rite II service in the church with organ and cantors.
10:00 a.m. - Christian Education classes for young children (second floor of the Parish Hall) and adults in the CSF Atrium on the third floor of the Ministries Center. Read more.

5:00 p.m. Holy Eucharist, Rite II in the Chapel of the Twelve Apostles.

Good Shepherd and True Vine Sunday School meet on the second floor of the Parish Hall, for children 3-5 and 6-9 with age-level lessons about the life of Jesus from prophecies of his birth through the resurrection, the seasons of the church year, the sacraments, Bible parables, and more, through the year. This Sunday, October 11 begins The Practice of Prayer
Ann Holmes will facilitate a discussion of Margaret Guenther's book, The Practice of Prayer, including varieties of prayer, prayer through the centuries, finding God in the ordinary, parenting and prayer, and more. Limited copies of the book are available for $10, as well as a couple of library copies for lending, in the CSF lobby and library on the third floor of the Ministries Center.

Mom-to-Mom Group: Change of Date
The next Thursday evening meeting is on October 22, in the Parish Hall parlor, from 6:00 'til 7:00 p.m., with nursery care courtesy of the St. James ECW.
Book Club Meeting Info
Our October book is Close Your Eyes, Hold Hands by Chris Bohjalian, and we'll be meeting on Monday, October 19. The November meeting is Monday the 16th. We are reading Circling the Sun by Paula McLain.

If you know of a parishioner or parish family who has recently welcomed a new baby, discharged from the hospital, suffered a death in the family, or other crisis that may benefit from a pre-cooked, frozen meal, please contact Mary Boutwell, or 225-387-5141 ext. 229. The Loaves & Fishes group has prepared meals to share with our parish family in just such circumstances!
