EKC -- Episcopal Kids in Community -- will be an opportunity, every other week, for these youngsters to grow spiritually while also creating new bonds, friendships, and a familial community through games and activities all in a safe, welcoming environment

SERVICES THIS SUNDAY, AUGUST 16
The Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost

John Pitzer

The heavenly bread talks continue. Jesus' original audience must have thought his instruction to "eat my flesh, drink my blood," akin to that of the snake in the Garden, tempting Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. But, rather than separating us, Jesus' bread reminds us of our dependence -- on the gifts of creation, on each other. And, that the nourishment we receive at the Jesus table can fill us as no other. The image is one of our own newspaper ad invitations to Christmas worship.
