The Second Sunday of Easter

Doubting Thomas

It's Doubting Thomas Sunday. So important is John's retelling of Jesus' appearance to his disciples that it is repeated in each of our three readings cycles, on the Second Sunday of Easter. With his resurrection, Jesus has brought forth a new reality that Thomas can't quite get his hands on -- until that is, he gets his hands in it. We are a Resurrection people. Come on in, doubts and all, get your hands dirty, and experience the new reality of God's fullness and love.
