Deanery Fair

WHO? Everyone in the deanery! Innis to Denham Springs; St. Francisville to Prairieville, and beyond!
WHAT? A fair to close out summer, enjoy time with our families, and each other.
WHY?

A chance celebrate our commonality, our faith, our community! And, raise funds for the Deanery Discretionary Fund.*

* Ah-Hah! WHAT IS THE DISCRETIONARY FUND?

From time to time, there is occasion where a deanery parish might need a little financial push, or perhaps a particular program or immediate, unforeseen need in the deanery requires our Christian response. The need for available fund accounts was realized in the completion of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, Baton Rouge.

One fund is the Baton Rouge Deanery Rectors’ Discretionary Fund, which was established to provide for “pious and charitable needs” such as helping relieve poverty, illness, hunger and similar needs.

The other fund is the Baton Rouge Deanery Rectors’ Mission Fund, which can be used for any purpose consistent with the mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana, including helping repair church buildings, helping start ministries, and other uses that may be broader than pious and charitable needs. When a need or proposal arises, the Rectors determine whether and how much to give.

Donations can be made to either or both funds by writing a check to Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana and indicating the name of the fund in the memo line.  The checks can be delivered to (a) any Episcopal Church in the Baton Rouge area; (b) to Ms. Debby Boies, the Administrator of the funds at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, 12663 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge, Louisiana  70810; or, (c) sent directly to the Diocese at 1623 Seventh Street, New Orleans, Louisiana  70115. All donations are charitable donations that are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the IRS.
