Paintings of the Tower of Babel were prolific in the 15th and 16th centuries. Peter Bruegel's 4x5-foot painting of 1563 includes great detail, such as above. Click the image for a full view.

Sunday Service Schedule
  • 8:00 a.m. - Holy Eucharist, Rite I, in the church
  • 10:30 a.m. - Holy Eucharist, Rite II in the church
  • 5:00 p.m. - Holy Eucharist, Rite II in the Chapel of the Twelve Apostles

Nursery Hours: Our professionally-staffed nursery is open Sunday mornings this summer between 10:00 a.m. and noon, for infants of six-weeks to children four years old as parents desire and are in worship and fellowship. The nursery is located directly off the Parish Hall foyer. Your infants and young children are always welcome in church.

Children's Church is offered during the 10:30 service. Children depart to the chapel for their own sermon and program, with opportunity to stretch and wiggle, and return to church in time for communion with their parents.

* Overstock on spaghetti sauce at the GBR Food Bank means we (and other member distribution points) have an abundance of spaghetti sauce. Please consider bringing some plain pasta (not mac and cheese) to distribute with the sauce, with you to church this Sunday. Drop off in the food barrels in the church and Parish Hall foyers. Thank you!

Open meetings of AA are held each weekday at noon in the Activities Room on the first floor of the Ministries Center.

Holy Eucharist with healing prayers is celebrated each Wednesday at noon. This simple service lasts about 35 minutes, and is held in the Chapel of the Twelve Apostles, just inside the Parish Hall door on N. Fourth Street.

The Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana has been marching in the New Orleans Gay Pride Parade for several years. Please join LGBTQ Episcopalians along with their straight friends and allies, this Saturday, June 8, as we march through the streets of the French Quarter. It is an opportunity to remind people that the Episcopal Church welcomes everyone! EDOLA participants will meet near the corner of Elysian Fields and Rampart at **6:00 p.m.** (Note time correction, please.) Wear comfortable shoes!

Bad Girls Book Club selection for June discussion is The Last Year of the War by Susan Meissneron. Bad Girls meets next at La Madeleine's on Jefferson Highway on Monday, June 17, at 6:00 p.m. Let Monica Murphy know you'll be there, by email, or text to 225-335-3572.

The next Children's Council Summer Playdate is Saturday, June 22, with a visit to the Planetarium at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum, starting at 9:45 a.m., for stargazing lesson and experience, followed by a picnic on the levee! Email Children's Council to reserve enough spots for you and your youngsters, now!
