Sunday Service Schedule
  • 8:00 a.m. - Holy Eucharist, Rite I, in the church
  • 10:30 a.m. - Holy Eucharist, Rite II in the church
  • 5:00 p.m. - Holy Eucharist, Rite II in the Chapel of the Twelve Apostles

Nursery Hours: Our professionally-staffed nursery is open Sunday mornings this summer between 10:00 a.m. and noon, for infants of six-weeks to children four years old as parents desire and are in worship and fellowship. The nursery is located directly off the Parish Hall foyer. Your infants and young children are always welcome in church.


Children's Church is offered during the 10:30 service. Children depart to the chapel for their own sermon and program, with opportunity to stretch and wiggle, and return to church in time for communion with their parents.

The JULY issue of The Messenger is now live.. Pick-up copies are available in the foyers and narthex of the church. Deadline for the August issue is July 15.

Church Calendar Link

Open meetings of AA are held each weekday at noon in the Activities Room on the first floor of the Ministries Center.


St. James Food Pantry Distribution is at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, from the first floor of the Ministries Center. Volunteers are always welcome - summer service hours available! Contact Allen Paterson.


Independence Day closures: There will be no noon service of Holy Eucharist on Wednesday, July 3, as the church office will close at noon, and remain closed through Friday, July 5.

Hearty Breakfast Sign-up

St. James Artists will be installing their works for the Summer Exhibition & Sale on Monday, July 1, in the Parish Hall parlor. The exhibition will be open weekdays during office hours, on Sundays between 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and on Wednesday evening, July 17, in conjunction with the Chris LeBlanc performance at Summer Sounds.


Come by and view what is always a beautiful exhibition of works by talented parishioners; you may find something (or three!) you'd like to take home. Items for sale will be so listed; please contact the artist, directly.


Art students of Warren Green at the One-Stop Shelter, part of the Capital Area Alliance for the Homeless, will exhibit works in the smaller parlor.

Sts. Agnes/Edith/Monica ECW Chapter meets on Tuesday, July 16, at 10:00 a.m. in the Card Room at St. James Place, 333 Lee Drive.


Bad Girls Book Club meets next on Monday, July 22, at 6:00 p.m. to discuss The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. The group meets in the private room at La Madeleine's on Jefferson Highway at Old Hammond Hwy.
