Thank You: Celebration of New Ministry

How does one even begin to express the depth of gratitude that I am feeling after Wednesday night's Celebration of New Ministry service? The church was filled not just with people, but with joy and love for St. James and the ministry that we share together hand-in-hand as one body in Christ.

Thank you for the incredible welcome each of you has given my family and me over the past six-months. Thank you, also, to the many people who participated in the service, the search committee for hosting a wonderful reception, the church and school staffs for their support, and to all those who were present in body or spirit.

I look forward to years of building up the kingdom of God with you from our city block in downtown Baton Rouge and out into the world.

Thank you for the honor to serve as your priest and rector.
