Sunday's Service Schedule
  • 8:00 a.m. - Holy Eucharist, Rite I, in the church
  • 10:30 a.m. - Holy Eucharist, Rite II in the church
  • 5:00 p.m. - Holy Eucharist, Rite II in the Chapel of the Twelve Apostles

Nursery Hours: Our professionally-staffed nursery is open Sunday mornings from 8:45 a.m. 'til noon, for infants of six-weeks to children four years old as parents desire and are in worship and fellowship. The nursery is located directly off the Parish Hall foyer. Your infants and young children are always welcome in church.

This Sunday, February 10, at 9:15 a.m.:

  • Children from PreK-3 age through fifth grade meet on the second floor of the Parish Hall for Christian education classes and fun activity!
  • Episcopal 101, a review of the church from Old Testament through the Prayer Book, is in Bishops Hall. Open to all adults, and full of interesting insight, this class also serves as adult preparation for confirmation or reception at the bishop's visit in early May.
  • Daily Dose of Scripture, a study of the Sunday lectionary readings, is led in the Parish Hall small parlor, led, this week, by Casey Duncan.

Children's Church is offered during the 10:30 service. Children depart to the chapel for their own homily and program, with opportunity to stretch and wiggle, and will return to church in time for communion with their family.

St. James Food Pantry Reminder

The St. James Food Pantry is an official distribution point for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank system. Non-perishable donations are accepted year round in the barrels located in the church and Parish Hall foyers. However, there are times of the year that certain items are in more demand. To help ensure our pantry stays full and to serve as a reminder to each of us while in the grocery store, we will have a food suggestion of the month. During February, we are asking for beef stew.

Holy Eucharist with the Day School is at 8:15 a.m. today, in the church. Day School families and parishioners are invited to attend and experience a special joy in worship with this student-led service.

Open meetings of AA are held each weekday at noon in the Activities Room on the first floor of the Ministries Center.

Holy Eucharist with healing prayers is celebrated each Wednesday at noon. This simple service lasts about 35 minutes, and is held in the Chapel of the Twelve Apostles, just inside the Parish Hall door on N. Fourth Street.
