180th Diocesan Convention

We will be hosting the 180th Convention of the Diocese of Louisiana at St. James on Friday and Saturday, November 3 and 4, 2017 and many volunteers will be needed to help with registration, greeting and offering welcome to visitors, campus directions, and more.

Denise Allen is leading our planning committee and is asking for volunteers to assist before and during the convention. Email Denise, letting her know which or both days you're available (or maybe behind the scenes), and how you'd like to help.

PARISH-WIDE SURVEY NOW OPEN

As part of the self-study the Rector Search Committee is undertaking to accurately prepare a Parish Profile to potential candidates, this survey is designed to gather preceptions, ideas, and suggestions from as wide a spectrum of St. James parishioners as possible.

Please help us by having each adult in your household complete their own survey. This is your avenue to share with the Search Committee your thoughts and desires as we look to the future of St. James Episcopal Church. Each opinion is valuable to us, whether lifelong St. James parishioners or joining us last year, and will assist us in presenting our self-portrait more accurately.

Your survey response is anonymous and confidential. Please give this your earliest attention as the survey will be open for three weeks.

We thank the Diocesan Office for their help in developing and administering this survey. Canon Shannon Manning will be at St. James on Sunday, October 15 to preach and celebrate with us at 10:30 a.m. and address the parish at a meeting immediately following that service.
