Sunday's Service Schedule
  • 8:00 a.m. - Holy Eucharist, Rite I, in the church
  • 10:30 a.m. - Holy Eucharist, Rite II in church with organ and cantors.
  • Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the art exhibited by the St. James Artists Guild, and the One Stop Artists.
  • 5:00 p.m. - Holy Eucharist, Rite II, in the Chapel of The Twelve Apostles
Sunday Education & Events

Nursery: Our professionally-staffed nursery is open Sundays between 8:45 a.m. and noon for infants of six-weeks to children four years old as parents desire and are in worship and fellowship. The nursery is located directly off the Parish Hall foyer. Your infants and young children are always welcome in church.


SUNDAY EDUCATION CLASSES ARE ON SUMMER HOLIDAY. Join us for fellowship with coffee, lemonade, and cookies in the Parish Hall parlor before and after the morning services..

Church Calendar Link

Open meetings of AA are held daily at noon in the Activities Room on the first floor of the Ministries Center.


Meditative Yoga will be on holiday in July, resuming on Monday, August 7 at 11:00 a.m.


Wednesdays at noon: A service of Holy Eucharist with opportunity for healing prayers is held each week in the Chapel of the Twelve Apostles. This quiet, mid-week service lasts about thirty minutes.


Bad Girls Book Club: Our selection for July is The Widow of Wall Street by Randy Susan Meyers, to be discussed this Monday, July 17. The August 21 discussion will be on News of the World by Paulette Jiles. The Bad Girls Book Club meets at 6:00 p.m. at La Madeleine's on Jefferson Highway. R.s.v.p. to Monica Murphy or text 225-335-3572, and don't forget to bring a sweater.

Hannah's Highlights
Deanery Youth Event

Please join us for a Deanery Youth Retreat beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, and ending at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 30. This retreat is open to all youth in grades 6-12 who attend one of our Baton Rouge deanery churches.


We will have games, an amazing race scavenger hunt, dodge ball tournament, a movie, and a Saturday evening chapel service.


Sunday morning, we'll have breakfast and then serve at the St. James "Hearty Breakfast" -- a meal to our homeless friends and neighbors in downtown Baton Rouge.  Registration forms are due by July 19. See you there!.
