August 7 Presentation on Brick Work

Gary Howes of the Durable Group will give a presentation In Bishops Hall immediately following the 10:30 service next Sunday, August 7, describing work needed to repair and preserve our historic church building.

Gary, an expert in historic preservation, will describe the problems with the brick and mortar system used during previous repairs, why corrective repairs are required, and the repair methods being proposed to restore and preserve our church building.

We expect the presentation to last about 30 minutes, to be followed by a Q-and-A session. Gary has also agreed to lead a walk-around of the exterior of the church to help visualize examples made in his presentation.

Please schedule time to attend this important presentation on proper preservation of our historic and beautiful church.
