Counting Down on Gumbo 2016

Only two Gumbo Fridays remain in Lent 2016. It's time to start stocking your freezer! We have freezer-ready pints and quarts of our delicious shrimp and chicken-and-sausage gumbo. These are so very handy throughout the year -- for quick-and-easy meals, extra guests, perhaps to take to a friend in need. (We know one family who just finished their last quart from last year, and it was still great!)

ForecastIt looks as though your St. Patrick's parade barbecue or outside jambalaya plans may be washed away like his snakes...

Let Gumbo come to the rescue! Pick up some to-go pints and quarts for your weekend guests. Rice and bread, available, too! Our drive-thru volunteers will don their wet suits to bring your order right to your car!

We hope to see you tomorrow, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., at Bishops Hall, on the corner of Florida and N. Fourth Street for lunch, or in the drive-thru lane on N. Fourth to hand you a pick-up order. (Phone your order to 225-387-5141 between 8 and 10 a.m. to have it ready for quick pick-up!)

Gumbo will be sold in the Parish Hall parlor after the nine and eleven o'clock services on Sunday, while supplies last.

Your etouffee will be ready for pick-up next Friday, March 18 during Gumbo.

Wednesdays in Lent
Don't Miss Our Final Lenten Wednesday Gathering!

"Can we come back, next week, Mom?" asked one of the youngsters enjoying the evening with Mary Boutwell and Marvin McLennon. "That was really interesting!" exclaimed one of those learning about How We Became Anglicans.

The evening begins with Holy Eucharist at 5:30 p.m., followed by a Lenten soup dinner in Bishops Hall, then class options for adults, and programs for children and youth, all ending by 7:15 p.m.

Read more about the final set of class offerings and register at the link, below. We are asking that you register so we can make appropriate dinner, space, and supply plans.
