It's Week Three of Gumbo 2016!

Gumbo 2016 is at the half-way point, this Friday. It's time to start stocking your freezer! We have freezer-ready quarts of Shrimp Gumbo ready for you. (Large orders: call ahead and we'll have them packed and ready for pick-up.)

 

Co-chairs Kelly Williams and Susan Rolfs invite you to lunch with us at Gumbo, enjoy the music with friends, or ... get involved!

2016 Fr. John Moloney Speaker Series
 

The second annual Glory & Gumbo - Fr. John Moloney Preaching Series line-up continues with the Rev. Fred Jeff Smith from Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Baton Rouge. Crawfish Étouffée
Introducing Crawfish Etouffee!
 

The St. James ECW Gumbo Committee is taking pre-orders for quarts of fresh, delicious Crawfish Etouffee. You can place your order via phone to 225-387-5141 between 8 and 10 a.m. on Fridays, or at Gumbo Fridays, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m..

 

Your etouffee will be ready for pick-up on Friday, March 18 during Gumbo.

Wednesdays in Lent
Register for Wednesdays in Lent
 

More and more are joining in worship, dinner, and learning together, with programs for all ages on the next three Wednesday evenings in Lent.

 

You can read more here. The evening begins with Holy Eucharist at 5:30 p.m., followed by a Lenten soup dinner in Bishops Hall, then class options for adults, and programs for children and youth, all ending by 7:15 p.m.

 

We are asking that you register for each Wednesday you plan to attend so we can make appropriate dinner, space, and supply plans.
