Christmas Dinner 2016

Volunteers have already been hard at work on preparations for our Annual Christmas Dinner for the Homeless, but you have opportunities to help.

We'll be offering our guests a gift of a nylon backpack with some necessary and usable items for those living on the streets or in area shelters, which we've priced to cost about $12 each. Please consider making a financial contribution toward our bulk purchase of items.

You can give online, here. Under "Funds," choose "Other Donations," and note "Christmas Bag Donation" in the memo box. Or, send your check to St. James with the notation: “Christmas Bag Donation" on the memo line.

We expect about 45 ladies at our dinner, and would like to include unused cosmetic items in their bags to make their gifts a little special. If you have received "gift-with-purchase" items, or have other unused cosmetics to regift, please leave them in the marked bin in the foyer of the Ministries Center.

If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions, please email Margaret Blades, here, or phone her at 225-755-6532 or 225-505-3105.

Volunteer hands-on using the button, below. If you have any problem signing in on the sheet, please email Nancy Jo Poirrier and identify the slot you're interested in filling!
